Revised: Nestled in the serene Hudson Valley of New York, Ark of Grace Animal Sanctuary is a family-founded refuge established in 2018 with a singular mission: to rescue, rehabilitate, and restore animals who have suffered from neglect, abuse, or abandonment.

Ours is a hands-on, heart-driven sanctuary rooted in the belief that every animal—regardless of their past—has inherent worth and the right to live free from suffering. Home to more than 70 animals, we provide individualized care in a safe, loving environment where healing can begin. From the moment they arrive, our work starts—not only tending to physical wounds, but nurturing emotional recovery and rebuilding trust.

Many of our animals come from deeply traumatic backgrounds—places where fear ruled and human contact brought harm. At Ark of Grace, they’re given time, space, and gentle care to rediscover safety, regain hope, and often, form transformational bonds with their caregivers.

Our mission extends beyond rescue. We are advocates for compassion, education, and the faithful stewardship of God’s creatures. While some animals remain with us for life due to medical or behavioral needs, many are rehabilitated and rehomed into safe, loving families. Each adoption is a celebration of healing—a testament to the power of second chances.

Some of our animals even find a new purpose: serving the community through educational outreach, raising awareness about responsible care, compassion, and the realities of animal welfare. Healing doesn’t just restore lives—it empowers them to give back.
