OUR STORY

The Ark of Grace Animal Sanctuary is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley in the state of New York. Founded in 2018 , we are a family owned sanctuary, that provides refuge for neglected, abused and abandoned animals. The work we do is hands on and founded on the belief that we have a responsibility to prevent the suffering of all animals. We believe that every animal in our care has an inherent worth and value despite their past trauma.

Our Mission 

At Ark of Grace our mission is to advocate and protect all animals in need. We promote humane treatment and compassion in a nurturing environment. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of care for all the animals in the sanctuary. We foster them back to health and give them the love and respect they deserve.

MEET THE STAFF

Our full-time staff are the heart and soul of the Ark of Grace animal sanctuary. Meet the staff below:

Amanda Grace - Founder

Amanda's journey with animals began in her 20s when she was dealing with intense health issues and paralysis. At that time, she started caring for stray animals, which exploded in growth soon after. In 2018 she founded the Ark of Grace Animal Sanctuary. 

Courtney - Sanctuary Manager

Courtney has over 10 years of experience with various farm animals, specializing in horses. Courtney enjoys spending time with her own animals. She has 3 dogs, chickens, horses, turtles & birds.

Taylor - Assistant Sanctuary Manager

Taylor brings multiple years of experience with all animals large and small.  She has her own animals as well, 1 dog, 3 cats, fish, and horses. She also has a big love for exotic animals.
